story:
My tank performs flanking maneuver to hunt enemy tank. Our tank end up on a position close to active flag, but also close to MEC main. As I took position I switch to .50 cal seat to receive audio intel about the enemy tank.
Few moments later BMP moves out and makes shot that kills inf. At which point my gunner search for BMP and kills it. Before dying BMP shot coax fire that kills me on top of the tank. Next enemy tank pushes and dies as well, and my tank RTB with no gunner.

facts:
1. BMP outside DOD
2. BMP fires first. It's also dies first, because coax fire takes conciderably longer time than a tank shell. Confirmable at "Kill Feed": tank kills bmp, bmp kills tanks driver (me).
3. I was not looking at bmp, nor I stopped my mouse over bmp while watching from mounted .50 cal seat.
4. My intention was enemy tank, not vehicles coming from main. My SL marker on enemy tank position is indication of this.
5. Lipoto spot our tank first, lipoto's SL marker was set to approximate position of my tank.
6. Lipoto was aware about my tank and tried to kill it beeing just outside of DOD.
7. I was banned much later from the incident, weeks after

conclusion:
Lipoto Personal involvment, maximum ban for controversial situation.
You say this is basecamp of DOD, and your punishment is permban (until you say otherwise, that is still perm). Your BMP was ready to kill our tank, therefore it was not an easy target coming from main. It was a brutal mistake worthy of beginner player to drive a BMP straight to tank position, even more so you gave away yourself by firing on infantry first. You died like a noobie and punish me for luck of your skill. I didn't even saw the BMP, yet you make me responsible for this.
I can only guess what motivated you to revisite the situation weeks after the incident and give a permban for this. Apperanly personal involvement went deeper with time (did I kill few more times after the incident?)

How many more became victims of this predatory behavior of misusing admin powers for personal revenge? How many will?

On discord, Lipoto, you said that you are all grown ups and for fair conduct the only thing needed is post on forums. Let's see how much of that is true, but since you are already using admin status for personal satisfaction I heavily doubt your ability to rationally judge on matters of personal interest.

Is it your personal common practice to troll players with maxban for minor rulebrake until they come to beg you for mercy? This is faulty practice as very few will come to the forums, especially when they did nothing. Permban is issued on heavy occasions, something like basecamp should not get more that week of punishment. The fact you issued permban only implies personal involvement. On discord I said that I'm sorry for possible basecamp that I might have inflicted. After watching the demo I'm not sorry anymore. Provided evidence above I'm not guilty and I demand Lipoto apology. I really hope Lipoto you able to overcome instinctive behavior in favor of consciousness.

If you didnt break rules you wouldnt have been banned. please read our rules next time, before engaging enemy assets right outside of main bases. This is prohibited as per the rushing and base protection part:

First of all, I didn't ban you because of any "predatory motives". I banned you because you broke a rule which was specifically written to prevent this kind of situation. Be it as it may that you were flanking a tank, you nevertheless brought the tank to a position from where your gunner could shoot vehicles moving out of main and did so. This is in clear violation of rush protection rule number 8 (Do not camp the area between the first enemy flag and their main base with any assets (CAS, TANK, APC), AA kit or HAT kit unless their first flag is in play. Mining this area is allowed.)  

To adress your facts:
1. BMP outside DOD - not sure why this is relevant, the rule clearly states you shouldn't be camping the area between our main and the first flag. Not to mention if my driver stopped two meters sooner, we'd be in DOD and your gunner would be shooting us in DOD.

4. My intention was enemy tank, not vehicles coming from main. My SL marker on enemy tank position is indication of this. I don't doubt you had good intentions, but the fact of the matter is something wrong happened as a result of your intentions.

5. Lipoto spot our tank first, lipoto's SL marker was set to approximate position of my tank. Yet again completely irrelevant, am I supposed to ignore you as an asset when you're sitting outside our main base looking around?

6. Lipoto was aware about my tank and tried to kill it beeing just outside of DOD. Yes I was aware of your tank because it was literally the first thing I saw as we peaked that wall that separated us. Again, completely irrelevant to your problem.
7. I was banned much later from the incident, weeks after. You were banned that same night. Would be nice if you could find proof that you were banned weeks later, if you weren't banned during those weeks it was probably a server issue, I requested your ban the same night this happened.

Is it the fact that we had a gun turret and a missile on top that makes us ready or what? We were as unready as can be, literally just left DOD and engaging infantry targets called out by friendlies. Nobody told us about your tank. If we had been ready, we wouldn't take on a tank with a BMP. Coaxing you was just an instinctive move as I told my driver to back up, and is in compliance with our ruleset.

You got banned once and you're accusing me of all this? How is it supposed to personally satisfy me and interest me that you seemingly don't know how to follow rules? It seems you really enjoy pretending to know me and my character based on one incident, in which you clearly have no clue what actually happened.

I banned you and your gunner that same night so you would come here and actually ask why you got banned and to give us an opportunity to explain to you why you had been punished. I would have no problem in explaining to you my reasoning and unbanning you that same day given you'd understand that you should prevent such things in the future. But instead, you chose to write a book about my "personal involvement" and report me for your wrong doing.


Permban is issued on heavy occasions, something like basecamp should not get more that week of punishment. The fact you issued permban only implies personal involvement. The fact I issued a "permban" was because the server had already been shut down and if I had tempbanned you, you would have not even known it. Clearly if you only joined the server after a few weeks, it was needed so that you would come forward and we could clear things up. I wouldn't exactly call this clearing things up though because you just made an extremely unnecessary mess, when all you had to do was appeal your ban and we could have talked from there.

Well then that's tough luck for you because my conscience is clean. I never wanted to permanently ban you, as I said on Discord and in this response before it was only so that you would see that there's an issue that needs to be resolved. Sadly you chose to paint a picture of me as some kind of crazy lunatic stealing the game for himself and preventing thousands of innocent players from playing PR. I stand by my decision and would repeat it any time. You could apologize for making me and others here waste time on your unnecessary bullshit. 


In conclusion, I really hope, Sabian, that you will be able to overcome your instinctive paranoia of people on the internet in favour of good manners. You're unbanned, and I hope we don't have to interact again because wasting energy on people like you makes me feel irresponsible with my time.
